Two years ago I was running a writers’ meetup on Zoom, and it was moderately healthy, with half a dozen active writers, critiqueing each other. And I was also workshopping my novel at a novelists’ workshop out of Burlington Vermont. Both groups lost active members and dropped below a critical size. Both are gone now, although a second novelists’ meetup is still alive at bwwvt.org, meeting twice a month.
A problem I’ve had is finding sci-fi readers. If I google, I see several I haven’t investigated yet. Once I start developing the next book, I’ll probably shop around.
